since I've been to this site, seeing how I didn't have a computer for the longest time, but I'm back. Hopefully here to stay. I just got done watching the Sox game, and now there up 1-0 in the series vs the Indians. Just 3 more to get to the World Series. At the beginning of the year I said the Sox would win it all and rite now they are in very good shape. Well I shall go...
Since I have not been on lately and wasn't able to comment on the Don Imus controversy sooner, I have decided to now. I think that Imus should not have gotten fired. He is a talk show host, and people watch him because they think he is entertaining. It's like music, a form of entertainment. Music artists are not filtered out, nor should Imus, or Howard Stern or whoever. If you don't want to watch it, you don't have to. Nobody is forcing you to. That's the great thing about America; freedom. However, slowly our freedom is being taking away.
I don't watch Imus, nor do I ever intend on watching him, but he should have been protected by freedom of speech. Plus, what he said wasn't even that bad: nappy headed hoes, who says that anyways? I think society overreacts on every little thing. If you supposedly let out an ethnic or racial slur, you are automatically a racist. I think that is stupid.
As for Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, they are probably the most racist and bigoted (I hope I used that right) people in America today. They go around trying to gain "respect" for the black people, but they are just a disgrace. They are big hypocrites when it comes down to it, and I don't think their ways should be appreciated.
Hey, did any of you guys see Grind House? I saw it last week and I thought it rocked. Some of the critics dissed it though. I liked Planet Terror a little better because it wasn't as boring as the first half of Death Proof was. The fake trailers were very funny, including "Don't" and "Thanksgiving." Overall, I think it was worth spending the nine bucks on (movie tickets are so expensive now!!)
Diasuke Matsuzaka, a.k.a. Dice-K, pitched his first career game for the Red Sox today and he did awesome, pitching 7 solid innings giving up only six hits, one run and striking out ten. I wasn't actually watching the game (I had as tennis match, btw I won 8-5;)) but my dad told me about it and i caught some of the highlights. Dice K has offically arrived and I think he has the potential to be a Cy Young Candidate and him as our 3rd starter makes our pitching staff so solid. Also, today Papelbon got his first save of the season striking out 2 of the 3 batters he faced. I think with Dice-K as our 3rd or even 2nd started the Red Sox have solitifed their pitching staff as one of, if not the best in baseball. Not to mention they have the best 3 and 4 hitters in the game with Big Papi and Manny. I see good things for this team down the road...
My favorite team is the Boston Red Sox, and growing up in Ct, especcialy New England, it is hard not to like them, although CT is like 1/2 sox, 1/2 yanks. The season started today, and the sox lost, but i think they are going to do good this year. I mad some predictions for each division, and at the end of the year i will reflect on how my picks turned out.

I have been listening to a lot of different music lately, including hip hop and rap and I was thinking what are the top five songs of all time, at least in my opinion. I would say #1 is Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin, #2 Imagine by John Lennon. #3 Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd, #4 Under Pressure by David Bowie & Queen, and #5 Blitzkrieg Bop by The Ramones. I wanted to put a Doors song on the list but thought the Ramones were more deserving because they kind of started the whole punk rock movement.
Tell me what you think
One day i was bored and i felt like writing. So, i freelanced wrote about the war and tried to make a rythm out of it telle me what you think, cuz i think i put a good perspective on the war and how it is affecting regular people like you and me. It's called "War is Propaganda" and here's how it goes...
“War,
Some say war is a beautiful thing,
I guess you would too if you were stuck in the ring.
To me, war is never the answer, war is only a cancer
Eating away at the lives of the world.
Why war when we could have love, peace, and hospitality?
I know I’m only a young kid, wouldn’t you know, but
I hope war doesn’t take over American’s souls.
The chances of being drafted linger in my head,
It’s true though with the things I’ve read.
Soldiers being killed, civilians being killed, children being killed,
We’re ALL being killed if you think about it, in our bodies and our souls.
We don’t want this war anymore, but a man named Bush has escalated this fight,
But was this really right?
So when I read the press I have to confess
I am not anti-American, but anti-war. People are trying to wear war like fur by letting it become a part of them.
War may be what built this great nation, but think of the families affected by the casualties, there loved one’s looking down from heaven.
Now I ask all people one thing. We all unite with harmony, every race, every party, every religious belief, every sexual orientation,
We’re all the same when you think about it, we all need each other more than guns or grenades, the war in Iraq is just an evil faze.
Raise the peace sign, it doesn’t mean you’re a hippy. It just means you don’t feast on war, is there anything wrong with that?
If someone criticizes you, that’s their opinion; you can’t change it, but just respect it.
All I know is peace will prevail,
Pray for the soldier’s parents they don’t get that dreaded letter through the mail.
We will make it through this war just like we have before, stronger than ever.
People can learn a lesson from a man named Lennon
“Just give peace a chance”
PEACE is my goal.”
Why are we still fighting in Iraq?! Doesn't Bush get it. We are fighting a pointless nightmare, and we are only losing soldiers by the day. Can't we just have a new president to get us out of this hell-hole called Iraq. Bush is truely an asshole and he doesn't have the balls to admit we made a mistake going into there in the first place. I just hope the 08' President (Go Obama!) has more sense and knowlege about the situation...
Growing up in a suburban neighborhood and small town, it has always been a dream of mine to live in a big city. Like NYC, Boston, or maybe even Los Angeles. I am kind of annoyed by the perception that everybody who lives in a small town want to stay there forever. I want to end up running my own business and flourishing in a big city where people all over the world will know my company. ALthough I realize that cities like LA could be a hassle. However, I think being in a city like New York is a great experience and you get a real sense of diversity and you meet many cool, different kind of people. I want to be someone who is embrace in the bright lights of NYC or Boston. I think I would fit in good because me personality is very high energy and a big city provides that high energy. I wonder if people in the big cities wish they could live in a small town? I realize that being in big cities that there is sometimes less privacy and always higher prices for things such as rent. But, I don't care, and i hope one day i'll be chillin in my new home in Boston or NYC.
There is nothing to do on Friday Nights when your girlfriend is over her dad's house in a different state. I'm here with my brother and sister alone while our parents are out on a friday night. I mean usually i'm out with my babi girl, but tonight im sitting at home, watching t.v., surfing the net, and feeling like a coach potatoe. I'm the kind of guy who usually like to go outside and have fun. Not stay inside and be a bum.
After football season has ended for me at my high school (this was my senior year, which means no more football the rest of my life, except for some touch football with my friends) i have usually just chilled at my house or my gf house. I find life very difficult after you lose something you had for such a long time. I played football for 5 years in Pop Warner and all 4 years in high school. And now it's all GONE.
On Friday nights, i would usually be out having fun with my teammates at a pizza place or over somebody's house, but now i'm sitting on my lazy ass and typing into this blog. Kids at my school are like "You can play football in college." And i'm like no "I'm not big enough, not strong enough, and not fast enough." Plus my vision is not perfect (I wear glasses, but not while playing football) Although i love football and it is my number one passion, i realize that i'm not going to get recruit by a big NCAA Division 1 school, and i'm not going to make it to the NFL. I'm not the type of kid who thinks he is the next Jerry Rice.
Although my football carrer has ended, i have tennis to look forward to in the spring. Tennis is a fun sport, but not nearly as cool as football is. I started since i was a Sophmore, so i have a great amount of experience. I think our team is going to do good this year because our whole team is basically Seniors and Juniors. Tennis is fun, but if our school got rid of the tennis team, i wouldn't care that much. I probably would do track or baseball.
Instead of playing in a sport professionally, my dreams are sports-related. I either want to be a sports journalist, or a sports owner. I have watched sports since I was 2, and my dad said I was a natural to be the next Chris Berman, or Jim Nantz. Also, i have always dreamed of owning my own sports team. I want to own my own business one day, and why not have it be a sport's team. Over the past few months i have become very interested in hockey. My favorite team is the Boston Bruins, and i try to watch as many Bruins games i can on NESN. However, I hope to one day own my beloved favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox. My gf says i am obsessed with the Sox and she says I care "too much" about it. Too much! Too much! My great grandfather was the biggest Red Sox fan ever, and I am just trying to carry on the family tradition. Owning the Red Sox has been a life-long dream of mine and I know my great grandfaher would be happy looking at me from heaven. I knew he was celebrating in heaven when the Red Sox won the 2004 World Series. He had never seen them win one when he was alive, but he was cheering with every pitch from the sky. I don't want to seem to emotional, but I felt like he was next to me, sitting in his chair, watching it with me, and we were celebrating together.
My favorite candy is Skittles. I don't know why, but I always have loved Skittles. I tasted the rainbow and I loved the rainbow. Even growing up as a kid, my parnets always had to hide them on me or I would eat a whole bad. Especially the tropical flavored ones. Those are so good. They also create smoothie Skittles, which I think are awesome. I'm not a big fan of the Sour Skittles however, becuase I think they add too much sour to them, and you can not really reckogize that great Skittle taste. And they leave a bad after taste. My favorite Skittle flavor is lime. Lime and grape are so good together. I suggest you try is some time.
I'm also a big fan of Starburst. My favorite is pink (strawberry). In my opinion they should sell whole bags of just one flavor. It would be a good marketing decision because i know people who only eat one kind of flavor. I would by so many bags of strawberry Starburst it would be ridiculous.
I love caramel, and my faorite candy bar is Milky Way. Those are SOOOO great. I had the ice cream Milky Way's and i thought i was going to die they were so good. Every time is eat a Milky Way, I have to eat another one. It is an addiction.
